1. Aims and scope
“IKBFU's Vestnik. Series: Natural Sciences” is a scientific periodical in the field of natural  science with a priority focus on economic and physical geography, geoecology, oceanology, and biotechnology. The journal highlights both theoretical and practical findings of original author's research.

The journal publishes original scholarly articles and reviews, that meet high standards of academic publications in the natural  sciences.

The journal publishes original research papers, which have not been published earlier.  All submitted papers are peer-reviewed and checked for plagiarism.

By submitting a paper to the journal, authors take upon themselves the obligation not to publish it in full or in part in any other media without the consent of the editorial board.

Manuscripts should be formatted in accordance with the requirements given in the Guidelines for Authors and submitted only through the online submission system.

4. Copyright
Authors retain intellectual property rights without any restrictions. When republishing materials, the author is obliged to provide a reference to the materials previously published in the Vestnik of Immanuel  Baltic Federal University. Natural Sciences.

5. Plagiarism Policy
The editorial board of the Vestnik of Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University. Natural Sciences implements the principle of zero tolerance for plagiarism. All submitted articles are checked for plagiarism.

6. Publication fee
Publication in the journal is free.

There is no fee for the preparation of materials for publication.

8. Preprint and Рostprint Policy

When submitting a manuscript, the author should confirm that the manuscript has not been published or has not been accepted for publication in another journal. When referring to an article published in the IKBFU's Vestnik, the URL of the material posted on the official website of the journal should be given.

Articles previously posted by authors on their personal or public websites, including those not related to other publishing houses, cannot be submitted.

9. Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Unpublished data obtained from submitted manuscripts cannot be used in any other research without the author’s written consent. Any information or ideas obtained during the review is confidential and must not be used for personal gain.

The journal invites peer-reviewers to exclude themselves in the case of a conflict of interest due to competitive, collaborative, and other interactions and relationships with any of the authors, companies, or other organisations associated with the submitted work.

10. Privacy Statement 

Specified when registering the names, phone number and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
